“Lets be honest if somewhere boasts an all day breakfast menu I am already loving it before I arrive. I didn’t think it possible but Home Store Cafe had me leaving happier than when I arrived. “
We arrived at lunch time which only added to our menu options. There were way too many delicious options it was a very hard decision. I decided on the Mediterranean Breakfast (Turkish Bread, Field Mushrooms, Confit Cherry Tomatoes, Haloumi and Poached Eggs with Pesto) all to get to the counter and notice the specials board and change to the Avocado Special (Toast Turkish, Avocado, Haloumi and Poached Eggs with a Balsamic Glaze). My lunch date opted for the Rib Eye Fillet Steak Sandwich (Sourdough with Caramelized Onion, Lettuce and Tomato with Beer Battered Chips). Our meals were presented beautifully and were cooked to perfection. My eggs were runny and the meal was hot. The steak sandwich was delicious and the chips were nice and crispy! The breakfast bruschetta is their most famous dish!
We did not opt for any drinks on this visit. Previously, I have tried the cold drinks and they are yummy! There is an extensive blended smoothie and frappe menu.
Location & Service
Home Store seems to be a hit with a lot of the mother’s in the area. Offering a separate play area for kids. The cafe was bright and colourful and the fresh flowers were a homely touch. We were fortunate enough to not be in the company of any kids whilst we were there. The cafe was very busy for a Wednesday and it did take a while for us to receive our meals (17 minutes). The wait staff were pleasant and accommodating.
The Verdict: I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Home Store Cafe and will definitely be back! It was cosy and had a very relaxed and homey vibe. The food was delicious and there was great variety on the menu. Overall 8/10.
