BREKKY REVIEW: Locavore, Woolloongabba

Locavore has been on my hit list for a while now. Boasting seasonal and ethical produce from South-East QLD I was excited to visit.

Food

The menu had a mixture of cafe basics as well as interesting, innovative ideas. It doesn’t happen often but we both decided that we couldn’t not pick the Strawberry Hotcakes – I am not a huge fan of whipped cream so we just had it on the side $16.50. The hotcakes were light and fluffy and super tasty!

 Drinks

Locavore in fitting with locally sourced produces serves the Marvell Street Coffee Roasters daily grind blend. My cappuccino arrived with real chocolate on top which made my mouth salivate and my heart melt. It was delicious.
 Service

All of the staff here were extremely attentive, almost to the extent that I was uncomfortable. Even though I loved my coffee I couldn’t finish it due to the size of the hot cakes – which the barista took serious offence to.
 Location

Locavore is in the bottom of a new development on Logan Road. There is plenty of undercover parking for patrons and the cafe is light, clear and cool. It would seat approximately 20 people.

The Verdict: Locavore was everything I anticipated and so much more. I loved the interior of the cafe, loved the coffee and loved the food. Overall 8/10

Locavore: 130 Logan Rd, Open 7 Days.
