DINNER REVIEW: Zebra Green, Bondi Junction

It is not often that the phrase ‘retro dining’ gets thrown around but after my time at Zebra Green it is one I would like to hear a whole lot more of. Zebra Green brings together ‘food, booze, coffee and mates’ what could possibly go wrong?

We were lucky to try quite a few things on the menu, although I am sure my waistline won’t thank me later!

Absolutely loved getting my hands dirty and tucking into some spicy chicken wings it let the Zebra Green sauces talk for themselves.

My favourite dish and absolute recommendation for everyone and anyone is the herb crusted Junee lamb shoulder, smokey eggplant, feta & mint. My goodness the lamb was tender and melted in your mouth. It was perfectly accompanied by the kipfler potatoes and roasted fennel, which wouldn’t have been my usual choice.

Zebra Green doesn’t just do dinner they are also open for breakfast and lunch Wednesday through Sunday. I cannot wait to go back and try the buttermilk chicken schnitzel, caramelized onion, pear, feta & walnuts – it sounds like heaven!
